Question: Why do some many people hate the goth cultureand whats with godhatesgoths.com?
im not goth, but the way i dress can be considered goth, so many people know me as goth. i really don't care either way because i know that at the end of the day im just me, sarah. but one of my friends who do consider themselves to be goth sent me a link the other day and he said "this is exactly why the world sucks, because people are so ready to point fingers at unnormal people for thier own problems, its these kind of people who should be gunned down and shot." i almost laughed as i read what he wrote, thinking surely nobody would deserve a fate as such no matter how goth haing.

i read both, and both were complete and utter bull....
this person(s) is talking about how me and my friends, the people who i love, and have known since i was a little girl, the people who cared about me when no one else would, are all going to burn in the pits of hell for eternity, and that we are nothing but trash in the eyes of god. im athiest, but i attended church for many many years.
once i finally had read everything on the sight, i thought at first i was going to burst out crying or start screaming but i did niether

the only thing pulsing through my head at that moment was: if im going to burn in hell i will see you there sister.
if there is a god he wouldnt let some idiot like that into heaven, the bible says god loves ALL his children whether they are strange or not.
and last time i checked hating an entire group of people because of thier lifestyle choice IS A SIN AND YOU WILL BURN IN HELL FOR IT.
now like i said before im athiest, but i know more about the bible than most kids my age, and i know that if there was a god he would love me just as much as anyoone else.
but i just cant understand, if these people have so much of god's love in them then why do they hate goth so much?
and what makes them think they have the right to go around saying we are trash?

People hate the stereotypical forefront of a "goth". When society thinks "goth" the image of a stoned, freakishly fat or freakishly skinny, self-mutilated teen with razors, guns, and drugs in their pockets wearing all baggy-black clothes comes to mind. It's sick. "Goth" does not equal delinquent. Goth is really a romanticism of life in a complex way but it's not seen as such because the stereotypical goth gets in its way.
As for the site, I hate that rev. I've read stuff by him before and I cannot stand him! He will burn in hell. May he waste away in the 9th circle of hell with others of his kind (or the 8th, that would be suitable too). If I ever get my hands on him he will be a dead reprobate.
With the goth vs religion in general, it's a misconception that goths are wiccans are sacrificial and dark magic users. Dark magic is evil. Sacrifice, that's just wrong. Wiccans are like druids, it's natural elements and natural cures and working with nature (moreso Gaea than god). Goths pretty much are either 1) teens who accept the "dark" look (no offense intended) or 2) real goths who appreciate the cryptic side of life. They're totally different things. People think goths are devil worshippers, we're not! Satanic cults are not gothic; they're deranged.
I'm agnostic (I believe that there is something but it's not "god", moreso a cosmic energy ... not "the force" ... I'm into metaphysics - it makes sense, unlike religion). I cannot stand the religious biggots that control the world and brainwash it's inhabitants. I'm sorry but I don't want to worship something that will love me only if I worship it 24/7. It's disgusting. I got dragged to a bible camp last summer and they were just shoving bull down everyone's throats. It made me so sad to see all these people believe this biggoted crap. Even though I hate religion, I do know about the bible (unlike people think) and people call me ignorant for trying to interpret the bible in my own way; their churches do that every friggin' day! It's so hypocritical! They condemn me for philosophysing because they don't want to hear what I have to say. Ya know, it would be increadibly ironic if all these religious fanatics ended up in the 8th circle of hell (if it exists, that is).
Just remember, these anti-goths and gothphobic religious people are just brainwashed by the church they attand. That's all they've grown up knowing and they're happy with being controlled by religion. Even if they say that, if not born into religion, they would choose *insert religion here*, they probably wouldn't. They wouldn't and don't know any better. I see why you're upset, and I understand why. But you must understand that our society and its people in general label, regardless. Whether you like it or not, or whether I like it or not, people in general label. Unfortunately, people judge from the cover, and people judge other people easily. For instance, if an obese person were first introduced in High School, what do you think these people's first impression of the person is? the person must eat a lot, obviously. First of all, let me say that these people who created this website have misunderstood what God's trying to say in the bible. The bible's also inspired by god, but is not written by god. The bible is also easily misunderstood, and that is why studying the bible is a must if you want to actually understand the bible. And, studying the bible is entirely up to the person. Decisions are made based on a person, whether the person will say yes or no. Same concept with people accepting god. God does love all of his children, whether people are "strange" or not. But people like you, choose whether they want to believe and be with god or not. I have much too comment and much to reply regarding god, but I don't think you know much about the bible as you say you do. You should thoroughly study the bible if you truly want to understand the bible.
Bottom line is, people will always label. Whether these people are Christians or not. We're all hypocrites regardless of race, religion and sex. We all have our imperfections, and are bound to make mistakes. People like these who has written, "God hates goths" don't truly know if god does truly hate goths, but speak for God. It's as if someone random were to say for you that you hated obese people, but question is, do you?
