
Question: Why do most major Canadian cities lay near the US border?
I'm assuming it's because the central to northern part of the country is allot colder. Another question. What are those northern uninhabited scattered islands called at the north central part of the country called?

The Northern part of Canada is very COLD and not a nice place.
Because it is lot warmer in south particularly if the pensula between lakes Erie, Ontario & Huron.
The northern islands form the second global biggest, 'Queen Elizabeth Archpelago'
