Question: Organic fruit or....?

Okay, so I have a question about fruit. I know it's healthy for you & I love it.

The question is... Should I be eating Organic fruit or no? I have never had organic fruit. I have only had fruit you can buy at, for example, Publix.

Does organic fruit taste the same? Or maybe even better?

Also, if I didn't get organic fruit, do I still get all the vitamins and such from "non organic" fruit?

I was just really curious about it. So if someone could answer, that would be awesome! [: thanksss!

Answer:

Organic fruit is the same as all fruit except they put an organic sticker on it and charge more. I eat tons of plain old Non-organic fruit and I am fine. Organic has nothin to do with taste or vitamins, it means they did not use chemicals such as insecticide on it. I just wash mine thoroughly before I eat it

To me there is only one thing to consider and that is the price, and as organic is so much more expensive I don't buy any unless they are cheaper and nutritionally they are exactly the same.

Fruit is Fruit, but organic food has a specific flavour.

organic or not has no effect on flavor.
Organic has to do with what kinds of fertilizer and pesticides are used and there ARE organic of both that regular farmers use too.
Most store produce is grown from varieties that have been developed and cross bred to handle shipping, which is why store tomatoes don't taste as good as or are as tender as home grown. Home grown varieties however, would be mush by the time they made it from field to store if grown in enormous quantities.
Wash your fruit before eating it. Not so much about pesticides but it has been handled by God knows how many people and some don't have access to bathrooms out in the field and do what they have to where they have to...if you get my drift.
Where do you think the listeria on melons came from last year? That was neither pesticide OR herbicide related.
