Question: Now what else do I need for a 20 gallon community tank?

I am getting a starter kit that comes with:

tank
Hood
100 watt submersable and adjustable heater
thermometer
Filter
Fish net
Food sample
Water conditioner sample
And a guide.

Here is what I have:

Gravel vacuum
Decoraions
More water conditioner
Test kit (API freshwater master test kit)
More fish food samples
I have a 50 watt heater too in case the other one breaks

Here is what I am going to buy:

The starter kit
Top fin power filter 30 (50 gallons of filtration in total)
Frozen bloodworms
Tetra Safe Start (Decided to still do a proper cycle, but I am still going to use this)
TetraMin tropical flakes
Sponges from petsmart to use instead of cartridges
Omega one veggie flakes

Here is my stocking list:

6 neon tetra
5 Albino cory catfish
5 male platties
Maybe some shrimp

Is there anything I am missing?

Heres how I am going to cycle:

I will set up the tank and get everything going, add tetra safe start, add my 4 mystery snails in, test everyday and do water changes when needed (I know when). I will do that until I have 0 ammonia, 0 nitrite, and some nitrate.

Anything I am missing? Stuff that I need, not something like a background or something.

Answer:

Looks like your set for a good healthy tank! Upside down cats should be in a school in about a 30gallon tank, maybe try a small school of kuhli loaches.

That is pretty good, I still think you should stick to dwarf cories.
You will need sinking omnivore wafers for the cories. Also offer them things like shrimp pellets, raw, or frozen then unthawed, veggitables and mellons.

a striped raphel catfish, good for a single catfish, a brushy pleco should be in the tank (they stay small unlike common ones)

the usd's need numbers idealy, although 2 or 3 would be ok, even with the raphel if you add one

if you add live shrimp, do a bamboo shrimp, or somthing bigger, the little cherry and gohst may get eaten if you get catfish
