Question: Need movie analysis ideas? (Will select a best answer)?

Hey everyone

I'm doing a paper for my marriage and family class, and I have to do a movie analysis on two movies, one set in the present, and one set in the past. They will have to relate some how to marriage and/or family. Does anyone have any ideas for any movies that I should watch.

One movie that I am going to watch is "The Pursuit of Happiness". This movie is set in 1981, so it is set in the past. I still need a movie set in the present. However, I don't want to have to get stuck watching a movie that is boring, that is why I decided to watch this movie.

Does anyone got any movie suggestion. I will make sure to select a best answer.

Relation Questions:

Answer:

I would suggest a movie called "Husbands & Wives" which is a Woody Allen film. It is essentially about the way marriages work and how different couples deal with marriage. It was made in 1992 but I'm not sure if it ever established a timeframe other than just being modern.

You could also look at a film called "Your Friends & Neighbors".

I'm not sure if this is for a high school class or college and I ask because both of these films are pretty explicit and may not be appropriate for a high school class.

You could also think about a movie called The Magic of Ordinary Days, it was a Hallmark Hall of Fame TV film produced a few years ago set in the 50's I think. It could be a great choice for the past film.

I would encourage you to do an internet search using phrases like Movies about marriage or films and marriage. You'll be surprised how many choices you find.
