Question: My puppy still pees like a girl?

I have two male dogs, both come from the same litter. They're both nearing their first year since being born. The first pup, who is bigger than the one that pees like a girl, has already started peeing with one leg up and has a deeper bark. While the one that pees like a girl doesn't really bark, but just wimpers sort of like a cat. The mom was Pomeranian/Chihuahua and the dad was Pekingese/poodle so the puppies are pretty much mutts. I think the puppy that pees like a girl is the runt of the litter.(he also humps things a lot)

Hahaha, I wouldn't worry. I have a labrador/german shepherd/bullmastiff mix. He just turned 1, and he's huge! He has a pretty deep bark (like your one dog). But, he pees like a girl. It's so cute to see a big 95 pound dog go out and squat. I love it.

There's nothing abnormal about your dog. As @Decadencecavy said, male dogs learn to cock their legs by watching older dogs do it. That doesn't mean that all male dogs will do that though. There's nothing wrong with him, he just has his own way of doing things. And the fact that he's the runt of the litter likely doesn't have much bearing on how he goes to the bathroom. One of my dogs was the runt and he raises his leg. It just varies from dog to dog.

That's totally normal. Usually male dogs learn to cock their legs from watching older dogs do it. Some male dogs will squat to pee all their lives. Don't worry about it.

yes learned.. but for a reason.

my male did not cock leg for two years, then does half the time.

dogs cock to spray a vertical surface. it is more likely to be smelt by other dogs and not wash off.

they pee as a territory marking, but my dog started when in long grass and it didnt want to crouch and spray on itself. either way is ok.

There is NO peeing like a girl/boy.

Some males will "hike/lift" their legs to urinate, others won't. It's a learned behavior and even than some dogs never get to learn it or do it. Most puppies learn it by observing other male dogs doing it, others just grow up and begin doing it innately as if they've learned or known how to do it all along. Either way, rather your male dog does it or not, it doesn't make him any less of a male.

I personally would be PROUD and HAPPY to own a dog that squats instead of lifting his leg. Male dogs who lift their legs are prone to marking in areas they shouldn't and marking/scenting on things they shouldn't causing damage, constant annoyance, tons of messes and worse. Once it's learned it cannot be unlearned.

Some boys never stop peeing like girls they might lift there leg slightly but no totally

Sounds cute but get it checked out.

Yes this is normal.

Your dog's fine. My dog is nearly 2 years old (male) and switches off with the way he pees.. o_O
