Question: My mom is being unfair, not letting me play with dogs?

Okay, so my dad loves animals and dogs, but my mom hates them and I have been begging for a dog since I was like 1! I finally gave up trying to make my mom get me a dog because its not use.Yesterday, my neighbor/friend got a dog. They already had this dog [a Chocolate Lab.] but it just didn't live with them. So they brought it to their house to keep it there. My mom yelled at me for playing chase with the dog and walking it on its leash. She says i can't play with the dog because its "new" and it might bite me. I told her everything about it and it got its shots and everything, but she still yelled at me. Shouldn't she let me play with a dog if she isnt gonna buy me one? i mean, i have been good and gotten good grades for my entire life! what am i supposed to do?

Please, only reasonable answers. Not anything like "Wait till ur older"

Me too i was begging fro a dog and i got one when i was 12 we were moving so i decided to make my move i told her i wont have any freinds blah blah and she felt sorry and o one everyone in our family loves him even my mom who hates dogs. Maybe your mom had a bad experince with dogs and she wants you to be safe. Show her that dogs make you happy and smile when im with m dog my mom says i have the iggest smile ever

Therea obviously a reason why she doesnt like dogs. Like when she was a kid she got bit by a dog or something?Then sit her down and show her the good things about dogs :D but ask her why cuz thats rediculousss!

Obey your mother

She doenst want you playing with the dog then you can't play with it, suck it up and grow up. She doenst want you to end up being bitten which is a very real possibility and you did talk back to her so she ground you.

She said not to do something and what did you do? You did it any way. And you sassed her. Now who's fault is it that you got grounded? No one's but your own.

Its your moms house and her rules and she doenst want a dog so there won't be a dog so stop asking for one.
