Question: Millions of hard line Christians, Muslims and Jews grow beards, why is that? and where did it originate from?

It's all an interpretation of the religious texts. Islam outright says 'grow your beard' and Islamic scholars say it can only be trimmed to no less than the length of a fist, while actually shaving it would be immoral.

It's less common among Christians and Jews, but there's a line in Leviticus stating that "You shall not round off the hair on your temples or mar the edges of your beard," and many take that to mean that they shouldn't be messing around with it too much.

Answer:

I am like 95.67% sure that it is just their facial hair.
The only religion is see that reminds me of long beards is the Islamic or Muslim religion, maybe they just like they facial hair like that.
As for Jews and Christians, it might be coincidence, that you see people of those religions with long beards, for Jewish, Christian, and Muslim are the 3 biggest religions in the world.
(Except for Buddhists out number Jews, but I seem to never see Buddhists or hear ANYTHING about them)

God intended men to grow their beards. It was the practice of all of the prophets who their people emulate.

Women were intended by God to be not have vacial hair, not men.
