Question: Light wavelengths, why is the sky blue then orange/red but never other spectrum colours?
I understand Rayleigh scattering is responsible for why the sky is blue, i understand it's the same for why the sky is sometimes orange then red at sunset, what i am wondering is first how come we don't see the sky as violet since it has a shorter wavelength than blue, but mainly why does the sky go from being blue to orange then to red but never green which is in the middle?
Thanks just curious, 10 points.

Answer:
Its because the blue color of the sky isn't pure blue, but a mixture of colors including green. The reason the sky doesn't go violet is because there isn't much of the violet color in the sun.
