Question: If you were given the power to name another category on Y/A other than seniors what would you name it?

seniors is for and about seniors where all ages and opinions are welcome. We get quite a bit of critiscism about the content of our Q's and A's not being politically correct. So what other name besides fantasy vs. fiction, memories or yesterday and today would you like to see as a category.
It would be nice if we could appreciate differences of opinion rather than violating and thumbs downing.

Relation Questions:

Answer:

They could turn it into some type of " Welcome wagon " . Although there may be some issues here at times this site seems to have people always coming back because of the freindly people on it . Some expect that in Seniors it should only be questions of growing old when actually I think for the most part people come here to be assured that they are amongst people of a certain age group asking all kinds of interesting questions. What's wrong with that? Good question!

Yes, I would name it something but I don't know what yet!! I think when we answer a question, start your sentence with "yes" or "no", whichever you want and if they send you a V at least it can't say, "that wasn't a question or answer that you gave"!!! Whatcha think?

Edit: Snooks, good idea but I think they already tried that and it didn't work!!!! Their security wasn't quite tight enough!

I would like to see an adult only catagory where we were free to ask or answer any way we like without fear of being kicked off!!

GIRLS WHO THINK THEY'RE PREGNANT!

getting to know you....

FIRST OFF LET ME ADDRESS ANN: with the risk of getting a v for chatting, could you tell me how you take over a sight. Good grief, don't be silly, it's not a war, it's Y/A, you need to get a grip. Everyone is welcomed and anyone can post and if you notice most of the regulars answer all questions serious or silly to the best of their ability. It's easy to get a little familiar here because some of us spend a little more time at home on the computer. We like, enjoy , and truly care about most here. Don't take life and Y/A rules so serious, you'll be more happy.

Southern in answer to your question: How about "anything goes for adults over 50. All welcome if friendly!}"

Politically Incorrect or maybe The Voice of Reason or Go Change Your Own Diapers?
Or Violate this..........cowards?
I don't mean to offend or make light of a situation where a peer is punished unfairly but that said I am not willing to give in to the petty behavior of so few over the advice and knowledge I gain participating.
I have been here such a short time and so enjoy it that my answer is that I will move on and just continue with my dry wit combined with a sincere desire to share with Seniors.
:) Have a great day

How about something for the mature minds.

"Politically Incorrect"

This would be a good site for anyone who doesn't like to play by the rules. The weak would be killed and the strong would finish last! Did I say that right? LOL

Weight is big business to everyone, whether over or under. How's about "weight related" under the category Health.
Related topics stated in a respectful manner.
Anexoria-Bulimia-Obesity-etc.
There's sooo many phycological and physical questions and answers related to these topics.

"Come On In and Have Some Fun - But Leave Your Hostilities At The Door".

Doxie, You GO girl . . . a big star for you my dear!

I know, we have no respect I tell you, no respect at all.

How about Classic Q/A

or Old Foggies Hang Out

I don't really know. But I do know if some of the young whipper snappers would stop being smarty britches and listen to the Older WISER folks, they just might learn something. After all most of us have lived it and been there. eh?

Edit: Go Doxie and Granny!!

Aged like a fine wine or a good steak? I like "having fun without being judged" We grew up in a time when there was no "politically correct". My father was an Archie Bunker! I read some newspapers in the attic taking about the "Japs". They didn't think twice about the words they used.

Language Sharing -- Where one could ask how to say a particular word or phrase in another language and answerers(bilingual of course) could respond with the correct wording . This would be highly popular with the masses who want to learn even a little bit of a foreign language . But also for the many thousands of business people and businesses themselves who do trade with people of other languages . Sales would increase across the board .

Well, that's my idea .

I would make a catagory called "Top Reporters"!

That way they could all get together, report and chat about each other! ♥

1. "let me tell you about my grandkids"
2. " The 'Others' generation"
3. "Beyond 'Puberty' and other childhood diseases"
4. "All my aches, pains and medicines"
5. "Let me tell you about my bunyons"
6. "Maladies of the elderly"

don't know about the titles, but the age group would be raised. (if that's really what's desired)

Could even open one for "Trolls and other social misfits"

How about "Been there - Done that". Did you ever notice how many times "children" come to this site when doing essays to ask our advice or opinion?

NOT FOR SISSIES would be my choice.

I might want to call it :
"OLD ENOUGH TO KNOW BETTER"
OR
"BEEN THERE DONE THAT"
OR
"POW WOW"

I tell my kids, when they have a problem to come over and we will have a powwow at my round table. No Joke. We seriously do this.

Too many critical people on answers, to ever just get along and enjoy the journey.

Numb nuts, and other crazies.

maybe that would draw them to their own category.

or how about one for Intellectuals only.

then we could have all of the other categories to ourselves.

I am not sure, I think if we change it from Senior or don't include Senior we would not have all had a chance to meet. I think something like Seniors & Boomers Variety!

Misuse of Category Here

It would suit you people who have taken over this section and turned it into a chat room. With a lot of stupid, annoying questions.
