Question: I'm voting for Ron Paul in the Florida 2012 Caucus and God willing the presidency. But I have a question?
I absolutely believe that we ALL as human beings come to behave in unique ways based on the unique experiences that have shaped our lives. So obviously the mindset of a staunch Liberal is a different reality than the staunch Conservative, which they themselves also see the world in a different reality. Knowing this I have found to be CRUCIAL in turning one's favor from an opposite side to your side. I also know this can be used both ways. But this is not what I'm here to talk about.
I choose to vote for Ron Paul in great confidence because I have spent a modest amount of time evaluating the current candidates, as well as our current President, and based on what I see. I find no other person worthy of my vote than RP. I have come come to find RP to be a genuine individual who despite political correctness will go against the grain if it's the right and smart thing to do. RP seems like someone who has not sold out, and has this eff you mentality and general disgust for greed in business and the political system. A great plus for me is that he is a medical doctor yet not the typical indoctrinated physician who only follows the FDA and common orthodox like most doctors. He is the kind that will look at any solution and not be blinded like most MDs. For that I know he will have concern over the wellness of America, and will not stand for the current influence big Pharma/FDA has on limiting treatment and pushing drugs that may at times not even help the patient. He also wants to bring us back more or less to the Isolationist mentality of pre-WWII where the United States was the World's most impressive industrial nation and had little interest in spending any lives or money in wars. I'm not an anti-war hippy, but I and I know other Americans could care less about fighting on soil so far away from us that it is negligible. Airport and border security is what keeps the nation safe, not preemptively policing global territories and facilitating nation building in Iraq. I'm sorry, but screw these guys. We have our own troubles at home! We can't even prove that maintaining a global military presence or preemptive attack works. We have tried this already! It rarely ever does work! Being the global police actually breeds anti-western sentiment and terrorism. And honestly, who is worried about an Iraqi or Afghan invasion?? We should get out of the War and Global police business as it does little for the American citizen, and more importantly isn't sustainable anymore! As for terrorism, we can still work on having the most modern airport security and border defense at a fraction of the cost of Defense. As for the economy, I believe every able bodied adult should have to rely on themselves to succeed or fail in this world. No free handouts, yet how can they if our nation is in severe debt from war, and our banks won't lend, and businesses hiring has become more limited than access to a pastor's virgin daughter!
I'm not an expert on world politics, more of a medical sciences guy myself. However I am a realist, and I just like the way this guy thinks and he's got a solid record. But why why why why Liberal or not would someone EVER vote for Obama knowing his very weak background as a Junior Senator and demonstration organizer in ACORN (a corrupted organization). Or all the other disturbing sentiment he has followed by individuals like his pastor and others on the very far left? In 04, I thought he'd never get elected because Americans would surely see this and be disturbed. And now looking at all the other Republican candidates, I'm not too confident in these guys. Romney looks like some business as usual poster boy for the Republican party, and the others just look like the usual "POLITICIAN".... sigh. And then Ron Paul. He just looks like the kind of realist I'd hope could run, and I know he defends his position well on even some of his more controversial topics.
What do you guys think? Am I mislead, or is America mislead. I feel like this IS the right man and I have great certainty in this. Yet, I wonder too..... I'm not always right, maybe I'm missing a piece of the picture?

Answer:
You have made a wise choice.
Sorry, God doesn't decide the elections.
I am 50 years old, I have served in an elected office for eight years. I voted Republican my whole life and have seen the party slip away from my beliefs. This year for the first time I intend to vote principle instead of of party. Ron Paul had to go with the Republican party because most Americans do not really care enough to research who they vote for. Secondly Ron Represents the core beliefs of the Republican party the way it used to be.
I believe in diplomacy and promoting business opportunities before war, I believe in being fiscally responsible and thinking about our future. I believe that all our citizens are equal and trying to drum up hatred and mistrust between us is unpatriotic.
So I am going to my republican Caucus and share my beliefs. The right wing religious zealots and war mongers and Muslim haters will likely shut me down but I intend to abandon my party and write him in on the ballot if I have to. America could take back our government but we need moderate Democrats that love peace and common sense and fiscal responsibility to help for that to happen.

Try coming to the point and spare us your biography.

Bush Recession", if U are white & baptist then how in the hell would I know if u are a whiteeyScumPUTA?
I do not know U & I did Not say "all whites are WhiteeyScumPUTAs" . The only ones I am sure about are the Yahoo answers team members. And I base this on the questions and answers they post here. my questions are directed to WhiteeyScumPUTAs only . on this site they know who they are and I have no problem getting answers from them.
you are 100% right!
While the other politcians are talking in circles about what may or may not be done and vague ideas on how something COULD be accomplished, Ron Paul comes straight out says what the problem is and how to fix it.
He understands that the country was built off the idea of Freedom, if someone disagrees than leave the country. He also understands that we are not an all powerful country that will never go away. We are a country just like any other and we can and will fall if not handled correctly.
He is the only candidate serious on spending and knows WHY we spend too much.

I can talk about the good doctor all day but i will cut myself short.
Ron Paul 2012!
Beautifully written, sometimes I write long questions and people just complain, I agree with you 100%
I don't think isolationist is the right word for Ron Paul's foreign policy, I think its more so non-interventionalist. The difference between isolationism and non-interventionalism is that a country that takes an isolationist policy is against not only war but war as a means of self defense and they also have a policy of not trading with other countries and not solving issues between countries diplomatically. Non-interventionalism is pretty much saying that you don't like war unless is for self defense and you would rather solve disputes with other countries by trading with them than using military action and/or force.
BTW if I was old enough to vote back in 2008 I probably would have voted for Obama at the time but that was before I really started paying attention to politics. I'm now old enough to vote and I'm voting for Ron Paul!
If you like Ron Paul you should research some of these terms:
-Non-interventionism
-The Non-Aggression Principle
-Voluntaryism
-The Free State Project(freestateproject.org)
Two books you should check out are:
-The Secrets to Nonviolent Prosperity----The Principles of Liberty
-An Introduction to Austrian Economics
I don't care why you vote for him, hiding your attempts to brainwash others into hopefully voting for RP in your fake question won't work.
It's too long, drawn out, and boring.
The republicans don't deserve to be president because they won't let a democratic president do his tenure without harassing him every swigp of the way. They dog them and harass them and pull out things they've done decades ago. How many of us HAVEN'T learned to be a better person in the last few decades? I'm so sick of republicans.
Then they put an idiot like Geo W in there so he can get over 4,000 of our best citizens murdered for absolutely no gain at all. None. Have we gotten anything out of all this? Just that it was a huge mistake and all that blood spilled for nothing. Absolutely nothing.
Hard to hear? My husband agrees with you. He lost his legs in Viet Nam and now he has a former North Viet Cong living across the street from him that threatens to shoot him if he goes on that part of the sidewalk, and that's after he eats our cat. Then the 'then secretary of war' gets on tv and admits the Viet Nam war was a HUGE farce; my husband lost his legs for nothing. Absolutely nothing. At the tender age of 19. For absolutely nothing. Just so Asia can invade us now. Only Jesus can fix that.
