I would get the 360, because what i always say to anyone consider to get one or the other is, get the one all your friends have, because thats who you want to be playing with. I would keep the ps3 and get exclusives for that, but get all your other games on the 360 so you can play with your friends. Also the ps3 has no graphic advantages for any games other than exclusives, because developers can't be bother'd making 2 separate versions because the hardware is so similar. So the best graphic's award will always go to pc =P

This is exactly my situation. One of my Best friends has PS3 and a few more of my friends do, but half my school has Xbox. They say "your a loner" but i was really just picking the better system :) And they are like "oh xbox is for cool kids" and "ps3 got hacked so it sucks" but they are dumb -_-
Video games are always more fun (and less anti-social) when you play with your real life friends (as opposed to people you met online) If I were you I would definitely get a 360. I personally enjoy xbox live more than the PSN experience anyway. Granted, the ps3 has slightly better graphics, and blu-ray, but I think the xbox is the better gamer system for online players.
Well I'm not sure if this answers your question, but I still have the original xbox and I don't plan on upgrading to a 360 any time soon either. I guess I'm just too lazy to switch over. By the way, most of my friends have a 360 but I don't care because I don't have to pay that hefty amount that goes into a 360.
Well personally i would go where your friends are... but to be honest the Ps3 is the better value.. Blueray and are coming out with great exclusives and free online.
I have both consoles and i do like the xbox but it does not have many exclusives to keep me playing.
And the Xbox live is just not worth what they make it out to be but for $60 a year you really cannot complain.
