Question: How would you describe depression? ?

I really want to know because I think I'm going through a lot of depression in my life....

Feeling hopeless and like nothing is going to get better. Hobbies you have no longer interest you, you isolate yourself from people, you either sleep too much or don't sleep enough, you can't get motivated to do things and never feel like doing anything, you get upset and irritable easily, etc. I know how you feel and it's awful. If you think it could help, talk to someone about it (a family member, friend, a school counsellor if you still go to school, or maybe see a therapist). I hope this helps!

In addition, 3 or more of the following must be present: gain or loss of weight, increased or decreased sleep, increased or decreased level of psychomotor activity, fatigue, feelings of guilt or worthlessness, diminished ability to concentrate, and recurring thoughts of death or suicide.
