Question: How to be a great Pet Sitter?

I have 2 dogs, 1 cat, and 12 fish (fresh and salt water). I am very experienced with animals and pets, and I would like to be a pet Sitter during the summer. The only problem is, I don't think people will hire me because I'm only 13. Do you have any tips on how to be a really good pet sitter or make an impressive flyer? Any advice is appreciated. (Also I am not willing to get professionaly certified as a Pet Sitter)

Tell them everything about you and like he said start with friends and family and i bet you can start a good job 2 make sure you always show up on time and do everything they tell you to do to take care of there baby and remember if you do anything to there baby you may loose your job (:
Good luck if you live in Spanish Fork i would be gladly to let you sit my animals

Hey I am 13 also and it sounds like you've got a lot on your hands so I assume you are a pretty good pet sitter already. As long as you know the basics. Every dog is different which means you have to make sure you know there eating habits, (if necessary) when it needs breaks, etc. oh and a lil advice on your flyer, put as little "artwork" on as possible.you want to look professional, look like you know your stuff. Even though your 13. Good luck! Hope this helped.

Well, you do seem to very experienced with pets many people will have, which is great! You could start out with friends, neighbors, and family members that trust you. When I was your age I watched my neighbor's Pembroke Welsh Corgi for a week while they were on vacation. Not to mention their two cats and goldfish. You should tell your possible employers that you are very trustworthy. Tell them about your pets and how you care for them. If people see that you are responsible, your age shouldn't matter much! Also, I would keep a list of all the pet owners you've pet sat for references in the future. Good Luck!!!
