Question: Does this guy like me?
Ok so I've known him since 5 th grade and he always used to tease me. Im friends with his older sister and she said he thought I was cute. it's been about 3-4 years now. He constnely yells my name really loud in the hall ways and always try's to talk to me and be next to me in the few classes we've had together. were 14 now and he messaged me on Facebook and said, " hey do you wanna go out on valentines day?" I then replied um no I don't see you in that way. Sorry. He replied saying he was just joking and continued the conversation. I'm regretting it because he really is sweet and nice but we've lost touch and haven't really talked. I want to talk to him but I don't know if he was actually joking. What do you think does he like me?

He TOTALLY likes you. And by the way, you REALLY killed his confidence when you told him that. And that is why he hasn't talked to you, he is afraid that every time you come in contact that you are thinking about the stupid message that he sent, and he doesn't want to be embarrassed by you bringing it up (which is the reason he claimed that he was joking). Men get their feelings hurt easily, and are usually very shy. The fact that he asked at all was probably hard for him to do, and now he is feeling dumb for asking and kicking himself for sending you that message.

The reason he was joking is because he was serious but when you rejected him he wanted it to sound like a joke.

Just start a conversation with him, casually, and as you get more comfortable with eachother you will get another chance to go out with him :)
