Okay, a lot of people lately tell me they have no Idea who I mean when I say I'm going to see gorillaz in October. Just bored and wondering if there were any other fans, or at least people who know who gorillaz are.

I know them because of Just Dance.
I know they're a musical group with a sort of alternative/pop/electronic style of music. Don't they also use a lot of cartoons for music videos and stuff?
I actually don't have any of their music on my iPod nor would I consider myself a fan (I've never really happened to listen to their music, it's not that I dislike it necessarily), but this is what I've noticed about them. Am I correct as a non-fan, non-critic, normal dude? :P
