Question: Building/modding a computer. help?
Hi, in my house there are two computers. The new one and the old one that no one uses anymore. I'm tired of fighting for time so i decided to try and save the old one. Its a Dell Inspiron 531s. It has Vista Home. Ive already cleaned it up and cleared all the old junk out so its running faster but i would like to update it. Its a slim computer so i was thinking about buying a new case for more expansion room and switch everything over. Not a gaming rig but i would like to watch movies on it and things like that. Any suggestions as to what case? Also, any suggestions as far as what to get as far as RAM, graphics card, etc. I don't have much money but i have enough to get some things so any advice is welcome. Last, is it even worth it to try and save this computer or should i just try and build one from scratch? If so, any salvageable parts in it? Thanks in advance.
