hp it helps,friend!

last years league standing may suggest that EFC are ahead of pools. but all evens up at this moment. pools have a new and exciting manager and new system of play is circulating over that side. EFC have a superb manager and a good squad. if only they had the money to spend on strengthing the squad. this question will be better answered in january with the league is in full throttle.

Last season if the season started in january then everton would have finished 3rd, this shows that we have a fantastic finish to the season and just to think if we started the season with that form we would finish there. Hopefully this year they can get a good start for once and have a successful season! COYB!

I wouldn't quite say that yet but you're coming very close to it. If you can finish above them again and possibly get to a Cup Final then I'd give you the advantage. You, like Newcastle, both have great squads and are cable of putting up a challenge for 4th place.

One more thing, please give us Fellani :P Yours faithfully, a Man Utd fan :)

Well...I dunno. Brendan Rodgers has his work cut out for him at Pool. He's a young, exciting manager, and i'm sure he'll transfer his passing football from Swansea over to them. His team was brilliant to watch last season, I watched Swansea/Newcastle and even though we won 2-0, they had 70 odd percent possession because they kept and moved the ball so well. I really don't want them to be relegated next season, but I fear they could be, depending if Laudrup is up to it.

Rodgers has the squad at Liverpool, but he has to make them work in a way Daglish never could. Rodgers is unDoubtedly a people person so I think Liverpool could be back fighting this season, but that ALL balances on how Rodgers manages his egos.

The important point is: 6 Liverpool players were at the Euros for England. Did they deserve it? Will it go to their heads?

That could be the main say in their season.

I love Everton as a club, because of David Moyes. He has managed them superbly. To finish 7th on a threadbare budget is exceptional. If he can keep that going he surely will go to a huge club to manage in future. He has been consistently giving them high finishes with barely anything to spend and that's admirable. But with Cahill gone, and a some players losing their touch i'e Heitinga, he'll have to work his magic in the loan market again.

So its hard to predict, but i'm going to say:

Everton finish between 7th-10th.
Liverpool finish between 6th-9th.

My dad would have said "Everton have always been the dominant team in Liverpool". He's dead now but an Evertonian through and through. It's not called the royal blue mersey for nothing.

Yeah , I think when Everton won the premiership and Champions league last season that they proved once and for all that they are the best team on Merseyside .

Seriously !

Get a grip !

Liverpool had probably the worse season I have seen in years in the league but still beat everton both times and everton only just managed to finish above us

Its not much to shout about

I respect Moyes he is a brilliant manager really Everton are lucky too have him.

Keep telling yourself that.
